Tithes & Offering
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. "Test me in this" says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." - Malachi 3:10
Tithing is an act of obedience unto the Lord. It is the discipline of bringing our first and our best to Him as an offering. This allows our hearts to be aligned with His and in doing so releases the favor, blessing, and protection of heaven over our lives.
Tithing also allows there to be "food" in His house (the church). This means that when the tithe is honored, the church is able to be all that she is designed to be - the hands and feet of Jesus in a broken and hurting world.
